1. Local-First Data Storage

Food Planner stores your weekly meal plans, personal recipes, shopping lists, and macro/micronutrient targets locally on your iPhone using Apple SwiftData.

2. Instagram Recipe Import & Unmatched Ingredients

When you import a recipe from an Instagram Reel or post, the app processes the public post caption to extract ingredients and cooking steps. If an ingredient is not yet in our food catalog, the app submits only the anonymized ingredient name, unit, and language to our catalog service (/api/ingredients/unmatched) so our nutrition pipeline can verify and add it.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

In-app purchases and subscription entitlements are processed securely through the Apple App Store (StoreKit) and Adapty. We never receive or store your payment card details.
